In this study we'll focus on the islands of Borneo, Celebes (or Sulawesi), and New Guinea. Borneo is the world's third largest island. It's split in two, with the western part belonging to Malaysia and Brunei, and the eastern to Indonesia. Likewise New Guinea is split in two. It's the second largest island. The western part belongs to Indonesia, the eastern to Papua New Guinea. Let's begin with Borneo:
The top part of Borneo is a head, which is somewhat dog-faced. This is the first of seven heads that we'll see in this region. Let's flip this satellite image upside down to look at another:
The bottom half of Borneo is also a head, but this one is very devilish-looking.
The island of Celebes is the third head:
It's more snake-like or dragon-like in appearance, and that's interesting because it's facing the
Indonesian serpent. It's neck is rather unusual, but we'll come back to that. So far we've got three heads. The other four are on New Guinea:
I believe the western half of this island is supposed to represent a rhinoceros with two horns, but in place of the horns are two more, almost featureless, heads. Here's another look using a map:

One of the heads on the rhino's snout has a gaping mouth:
Here are some interesting facts about the four species of rhinos: "The African Black Rhinoceros, Diceros bicornis, has a pointed upper lip, while the African White Rhinoceros, Ceratotherium simum, is distinguished by a square upper lip. Both have two horns, the largest measuring from 4 to 5 feet in length. The Indian one-horned rhino, Rhinoceros unicornis, has a stubby 1-ft.-long horn, as does the Javan [Indonesian] species, Rhinoceros sondaicus. ... Rhinos are ill-tempered beasts and charge at the least provocation. Fortunately their hearing and sight are poorly developed. ... The White Rhinoceros ... is the second largest living land mammal. It may attain a body length of 14.5 feet and a shoulder height of 5.5 feet. Its almost hairless, leathery skin is light gray in color" (Encyclopedia International, 1970).
Finally, let's look at the eastern side of New Guinea, keeping in mind the part about the rhinos lips:
I believe this half of the island also represents the head of a rhinoceros, but the exact opposite of the first, even a twin. This one is rather deformed: the ear is down instead of up; the nose comes to a point indicating a one-horned rhino; and instead of an open mouth, this rhino appears to be shooting out its lip, as it were. I think it's an illustration of blasphemy.
I believe our heavenly Father built these islands to help us understand the beast of Revelation 13 with its 7 heads and 10 horns. The rhinoceros shows us that it's formidable. Its proximity to the Indonesian serpent is telling because this political system is Satan's doing, who is also known as the Dragon:
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
We also learn from chapter 17 that a woman sits on this beast. I believe she is a whore who represents the world's false religions:
1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, "Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication." 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
I believe the head of this woman is illustrated for us if we focus on the water in the neck of Celebes:
Note that her mouth is facing the same direction as the serpent's. They speak the same message: blasphemy.
